I will be sharing my monthly favorites each month so welcome to Emily’s January Favs
My monthly favs will be a wholeee wide range of things, like my latest food obsession, favorite clothes, favorite place to visit, favorite song, new fav book, etc. The list truly goes on and on.
My Alo Yoga Lounge Set
This lounge set is what dreams are made of. It’s so cozy and soft. I’ve literally worn it every night when I get done with work. It helps with the overall vibes and I just feel better when I’m wearing it, lol.
I got a size small, which is a bit big on me, but I’m okay with that since it’s so cozy. Ideally, I would have an extra small in both the top and bottom but that’s okay.
I also got the color Athletic Heather Grey – which I love!
I 10/10 recommend. Get it yourself!
All the Bright Places
This book was SO good! I read it in less than two days. I was addicted. Trigger warning: there are some dark themes with this book like teen suicide, mental disorders and death. The book follows two teenagers who were both on the verge of suicide, but rescued each other. It then follows them as they go on adventures thanks to a school project.
I know my description is vague, but I don’t want to give away too much of the story. The author wrote this book beautifully and captured the main character’s thoughts in such an intriguing and personal way. I also saw a lot of myself in each of the main characters, which resonated with me.
Please, please, please read this book.
The Cutest Workout Set
My friend Andrea and one of her friends own a fitness clothing brand together, and when Andrea sent me a sneak peak of this set I knew I had to have it!! It’s the perfect like blue color, holds you in all the right places and has enough support for a good strength training or yoga fitness session.
Simply Empowered has great quality workout gear and I can’t recommend them enough!

Sourdough
If you follow me on Instagram you know that I’ve been on quite the sourdough journey lately. I got a dehydrated started kit for Christmas and I have been on a JOURNEY to make it happen. It took a while to rehydrate my starter (I would recommend just make a starter from scratch), but now that it’s going it’s really cool to understand the science of sourdough. Thanks to lots of people who have given me advice, I was able to successfully make my first good-tasting loaf the other night!
Plus – my sourdough journey has given me a fun hobby to do during the dread of winter. If you want to read how I’ve been fighting the winter blues – check out this post I wrote!
My Winter Boots
Fun fact: I got these winter boots last year and it’s a purchase I do NOT regret. They’re the perfect everyday winter boots for when you want to stay warm, keep your feed dry and also still dress cute. They come in a bunch of different colors, but the neutral tan are my favorite. I wear these daily and my feet are never cold, and they’re such great quality. Also – I know winter is almost over, but really that just means they’ll likely go on sale soon so you’ll have great winter boots for next year.
