PERFECT Air Fryer Porterhouse Steak

This air fryer porterhouse steak with garlic herb butter is the chef’s kiss.

Don’t get me wrong, I love firing up my big grill (it was my first big girl purchase, lol), but I know that not everyone has the luxury of grilling a steak whenever they want. Whether they 1) don’t have a grill (talking to those of you who may live in an apartment) or 2) they just want an easy way to make a steak that takes almost zero hassle. Well let me put you on something – making steak in the air fryer.

Who else got on the craze of getting an air fryer when they hit the market big? *raises hand*

Me too. I typically use my air fryer for veggies or chicken, but I’ve been dabbling in making steak in the air fryer and I think I’ve figured it out. The steak is juicy, cooked to perfection and has added flavor from the garlic herb butter.

Note: I’ve only tested this recipe in the air fryer I have (check it out here), but I am pretty dang sure this recipe will work for any air fryer.

Another tool that we have been LOVING for cooking any meat is our MEAT THERMOMETER. I got it for Avery for Christmas and it is probably one of the best purchases I’ve made and I’m not even exaggerating. All you do is put the probe into your meat and set the desired temperature and doneness on your phone and it will do the rest! It tells you exactly when to pull the meat from the heat source, how long to let it rest, etc. It also tells you the internal temperature as it cooks, how long you have until it reaches the desired temperature and also the ambient temperature around the meat. IT’S SO COOL!!! Seriously, if you’re a meat lover like we are you need this.

Anywho, let’s get into this recipe.
